Our Orange County financial and accounting recruiting firm specializes in the recruitment of Cost Accountants. A typical Cost Accountant prepares, directs and implements cost accounting methods and activities which provide the timely visibility of trends for management. They are required to prepare cost estimates of new products for establishing selling prices as well as prepare audit schedules and compliance documents for external partners. Cost Accountants oversee the maintenance of cost control systems within the ERP systems including the following: master files, BOMs, cost adjustments and cost rolls, and GL closing. They provide cost analysis and reporting to assist senior management in decision-making or other financial initiatives, conduct co-packer quarterly cost & purchase price variance reviews and assist in the development of budgets and re-forecasts as it relates to the cost of goods. Additionally, they perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs, generate the necessary flash reporting and prepare physical inventory reconciliation, control, and procedures.
