Our Orange County financial and accounting recruiting firm specializes in the recruitment of Internal Audit Professionals. A typical Internal Audit Professional performs various types of audits (including operational, compliance, vendor, financial) and provides remediation plan on control weakness. Internal Audit Professionals also prepare detailed testing plans / test scripts, documentation audit results and findings, as well as write audit report results for discussion with site management.

Responsibilities are to document and discuss with site management practical recommendations to audit findings as well as operational efficiencies improvements. They will support the follow-up, tracking and completion status of the process/action owners on their findings and perform walkthrough of process flows.

Additional responsibilities will include conducting risk assessment of business process flows and creating documentation (Narratives & flowcharts) of various processes. They are also required to prepare documentation of risks & controls matrices (RCMs) within the various processes, identify and document key controls ensuring that the control is written such that it can be auditable, consult and partner with process owners to recommend practical remediation solutions for control weaknesses including approaches/plan of action/follow-up.

Internal Audit Professionals are also responsible for consulting and partnering with Process owners to recommend practical and effective controls as part of a newly developed or redesigned process, perform and document controls rationalization on various processes and ensure that rationale accurately addresses the risks of the control. They will liaison and coordinate with third party auditors and process owners globally with the goal of providing information as timely as possible to enable them to complete testing per the schedule. Internal Audit Professionals will also assist in the review of operational, financial, and technology processes to provide management with an individual assessment of business risk, internal control, and the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the process as well as the risks associated with Sarbanes-Oxley as it pertains to internal controls.
